Calendar Hold Means Now

In my office the fastest way to create panic is to drop a last minute calendar hold with no agenda and a vague subject line. Everyone assumes something exploded, so regular work stops while people guess what the meeting is about. Half the time it could have been one sentence in chat. We waste more energy bracing for emergencies than solving real ones.
